Race for Premier League Football: The Dynamics are high in all GN Bank DOL zones
Techiman City continue to torment other teams in Zone One with their impressive displays and newly located form. Their unbeaten run has ascended to 14 and the counting still goes on for Micky Charles’ team. With 5 matches to spare, the story looks brighter for them since they will enjoy the luxury of playing 3 home matches (Tano Bofoakwa, Tamale All Stars and Berlin FC). 9 points could possibly add up to their point build-up, but more intriguingly, their away game at Bolga All Stars could go in their favor, all other things being equal.
Berekum Arsenal’s efforts gradually look to be waning. Last weekend’s defeat to Unity Stars at Goaso probably scuttle and shuttered their hopes of qualification. Moreover, the number of away matches that await Yakubu Moro’s side might make the scenario perilous for their campaign. This weekend’s fixture against Real Tamale United at Tamale Sports Stadium may hamper Arsenal’s progress. Real Tamale United, on the other hand are in pole position to earn qualification bearing any last minute hitches. The game between Real Tamale United and Berekum Arsenal this weekend calls for much thinking and strategizing from both teams, since any result comes as favorable for Leaders, Techiman City.
Furthermore, Former Premier League Participants, Dwarfs have made giant steps towards claiming back elite league status, but, although having opened a six point lead, face unshakable opposition from Elmina Sharks. Elmina Sharks’ lost to Proud United might have sparked lots of permutations and calculations among the larger fraternity of their supporters, but, the competition could turn otherwise should Dwarfs stumble on the road for qualification since they will visit Elmina Sharks and Gold Stars on Match Day 28 and 29 respectively. Windy Professionals will have their reputation to protect this weekend against Dwarfs, and is a must win for Windy Professionals as they lie in the demotion zone. Elmina Sharks versus Samartex and Wassaman United at Samreboi and Dompim respectively should be a headache for the Elmina based team.
Elsewhere in Zone Three, Nania FC’s victory over Dreams caught lots of attention coming to many as astonishing, since Dreams FC had not lost a game at home prior to that encounter and more importantly Nania’s current circumstances (lying in relegation zone). With five matches to end the season, Dreams FC’s matches to be played away demands further concentration and analysis. Matches against Prestige FC, Kotoku Royals and Okwahu United could prove difficult for their first taste of Premier League because of the positions of the abovementioned clubs. Also, Dreams FC have a tricky fixture against Pure Joy at Kweiman. Kotoku Royals, battling relegation could make the kitchen hot for Second Placed King Solomon this weekend, and that could to a large extent stifle the targets of King Solomon.
Techiman City, Mysterious Dwarfs and Dreams FC could find their way out from the various zones but the cutthroat chase given by Real Tamale United, Elmina Sharks and King Solomon could change the list for the 3 Zones.
