Ghana's Disgrace in the COSAFA CUP, the result of choosing experience ahead of form

The past two days has not been good for Ghana Football at the continental level after the Local National side where bundled out of the COSAFA CUP, curtesy defeats from lowly rated Madagascar, and Zambia.
Even though the organisers of the competition respected Ghana by placing the team at the quarter final stage, the team failed to impress, and lost all the two games they played.
It is important to note at this stage that, the results of the two matches and the performance of the team stems from the fact that, the coach in selecting his squad decided to go for players with experience rather than those on form, it is amazing to note why players like Emmanuel Ankobiah of hasaacas, Nuhu fuseini of New Edubiase, Kwame boateng of Great Olympics, Felix annan of WAFA, Frederick Yamoah and Mohammed Sherrif Doe of Inter Allies, and Noah Martey of Bechem United were left out of the team, rather for players who we all know has had their time in the team.
Coach Maxwell Konadu, in fear of his job chose to go for players with experience instead of picking players who are on form in the league, the two defeats Ghana Suffered in the hands of Madagascar and Zambia will now compliment what social commentators have always said about the local players.
The team that went to the COSAFA game where indeed not prepared, these were players who had just finished a first round of a tough league, and needed some time technically to rest. It must be emphasized that it is not for nothing that the league goes on break, this period is necessary for clubs and players to take some rest and reflect on the next round, so those who advised the team to part take in this tournamment must also take a share of the blame, now these same players are returning to play in the second round of the first capital plus premier league.
Coach Maxwell Konadu must now come back home and reflect on the future of the team and his career.
