Pundits Corner: Derek Dapaah predicts the week 29 of the First Capital Plus Premier League

twitter: @derekdapaah
Facebook timeline: Derek Dapaah (DD)

GhanaPremier League CLubs have a last life line to make it to the the season competition, this week, Derek Dapaah looks at the matches involved and the chances of the clubs to survive

Hearts of Oak vrs Berekum Chelsea
Hearts must stand up to grab this points against  a club that was  fighting  for the league trophy but now TOP 4 battler. Chelsea will give them tough task to overcome it, which I think they surely need to overcome it or else good-bye to next season because at Sogakope, they will surely lose. I urge Hearts fans to do it for the last because it's their last home game and it's against a strong opponent, Berekum Chelsea. A defeat is nothing to them but Hearts, it is. A win will be good so I urge them to beat Chelsea.

Dapaah predicts: Hearts of Oak 3:2 Berekum Chelsea
Form guide: Hearts of Oak: LLWWD- 15th position
Berekum Chelsea: LDLLD- 4th position

Hasaacas vrs Kotoko
Two trouble one God; both clubs lost their last in all competition. Hasaacas lost their league game and Kotoko lost in the FA Cup final against Medeama SC. So who will go for a victory, Hasaacas or Kotoko? I think Hasacaas will do so because it's their last home game of the season and they will be looking forward to end their home form in a grand style for the Sekondi fans. I think Kotoko's defeat to Medeama was not good at all ahead of this encounter. The porcupine warriors are in a very difficult situation of their 80 year history with relegation staring at them after the disciplinary Committee of the GFA deducted six points from their build up. They will need to win this to sustain their chances of staying in the premiership

 Dapaah predicts: Hasaacas 1:2 Kotoko
Form guide: Hasaacas: WDLWL- 8th position
Kotoko: WWWDW-3rd position

Ashanti Gold vrs WAFA
This fixture will be nice to watch. All fans liveing around Obuasi should go and watch this game; With Ashgold on the verge to grab the league trophy, a win will be massive. I think WAFA knows it's going to  be two defeats in a row for them because they are exhausted and have done well in the league. Will surely end the league with a triumph at Sogakope against Hearts of Oak so they have nothing to gain at the venue of the home team who will be crowned champions after this match. It been a good campaign for both clubs and I want the fans to troop in with WHITE ATTIRES/ HANDKERCHIEF to rally behind both clubs.

Dapaah predicts: Ashanti Gold 2:1 WAFA
Form guide: Ashanti Gold: LWDWD- 1st position
WAFA: LDLWL- 6th position

Aduana Stars vrs New Edubiase
Aduana was one of the clubs who wanted to over-take Ashgold for the trophy but couldn't stand it and now they are battling for TOP 4 finish. They have done well by using their home grounds to pick some important points and in leagues  your home matches must count for you. I think Edubiase got this fixture at a wrong time because they need the  point more to survive or else it's all over for them. I urge them to hold Aduana but can that be possible?
Dapaah predicts: Aduana Stars 1:1 New Edubiase
Form guide: Aduana Stars: WWWDL- 2nd position
New Edubiase: WLDDW- 9th position

Wa All Stars vrs Medeama SC
Will Wa All Stars be relegated? No, because it's the FA President's team so how can they be relegated. Their last home match and I know he will be there to encourage his boys to grab a win to cement their stay in the league next season and that's great from a leader like that. I urge them to beat their opponent as much as they can. Although, Medeama won the FA cup doesn't mean they can't fall at Wa. No point(s) for Medeama SC this weekend. All Stars will beat them.

Dapaah predicts: Wa All Stars 3:1 Medeama SC
Form guide: Wa All Stars: LWLLL- 11th position
Medeama SC: LDWLD- 10th position

Inter-Allies vrs Bechem United
Tema fans needs a win because that is their last game at home and you have to end it with a win not a draw or defeat so Allies will go for the maximum points. Bechem look like they will fall in this fixture and they need to focus in their last home game and it's a full advantage to survive a premier league football next season for the Bechem fans. Bechem will play BA United at home so they shouldn't dream of a good results against a well-organised Allies, despite a victory in their last five (5) matches. its highly possible for Bechem to pick a point, but a lose won't be surprise

Dapaah predicts: Inter- Allies 0:0 Bechem United
Form guide: Inter- Allies: LWDDL- 5th position
Bechem United: WDDLW- 14th position

Heart of Lions vrs Great Olympics
With two (2) matches to go for both clubs and their fate lying in their own hands, I think home advantage will be playing a massive role ahead of this encounter. If Olympics grab a draw, they are on the verge of securing a premiership campaign next season. They were on-form before the break and I hope they will continue with that form. Lions must do their best than what they did in their last match although, they grabbed a victory. I will go for a draw for both clubs.

Dapaah predicts: Heart of Lions 2 :1 Great Olympics
Form guide: Heart of Lions: WLWLW- 13th position
Great Olympics: WDWDW- 12th position

BA United vrs Liberty
BA are now counting their days in the league with two matches to go and this fixture is their last home game so they must end in a style to say a lovely good-bye to their home fans. Next week they will be playing at Bechem and it might not end well for them. Liberty have nothing to lose even if they go down at BA. I urge the home fans to pack the stadium in numbers. A win for BA at home will be nice to watch by Sports enthusiast, yet still I doubt they can withstand the Liberty team.

Dapaah predicts: BA United 1:2 Liberty
Form guide: BA United: LLLDL- 16th position

Liberty: WLLWW- 7th position

Race for Premier League Football: The Dynamics are high in all GN Bank DOL zones

Techiman City continue to torment other teams in Zone One with their impressive displays and newly located form. Their unbeaten run has ascended to 14 and the counting still goes on for Micky Charles’ team. With 5 matches to spare, the story looks brighter for them since they will enjoy the luxury of playing 3 home matches (Tano Bofoakwa, Tamale All Stars and Berlin FC).  9 points could possibly add up to their point build-up, but more intriguingly, their away game at Bolga All Stars could go in their favor, all other things being equal.

Berekum Arsenal’s efforts gradually look to be waning. Last weekend’s defeat to Unity Stars at Goaso probably scuttle and shuttered their hopes of qualification. Moreover, the number of away matches that await Yakubu Moro’s side might make the scenario perilous for their campaign. This weekend’s fixture against Real Tamale United at Tamale Sports Stadium may hamper Arsenal’s progress. Real Tamale United, on the other hand are in pole position to earn qualification bearing any last minute hitches. The game between Real Tamale United and Berekum Arsenal this weekend calls for much thinking and strategizing from both teams, since any result comes as favorable for Leaders, Techiman City.

Furthermore, Former Premier League Participants, Dwarfs have made giant steps towards claiming back elite league status, but, although having opened a six point lead, face unshakable opposition from Elmina Sharks. Elmina Sharks’ lost to Proud United might have sparked lots of permutations and calculations among the larger fraternity of their supporters, but, the competition could turn otherwise should Dwarfs stumble on the road for qualification since they will visit Elmina Sharks and Gold Stars on Match Day 28 and 29 respectively. Windy Professionals will have their reputation to protect this weekend against Dwarfs, and is a must win for Windy Professionals as they lie in the demotion zone. Elmina Sharks versus Samartex and Wassaman United at Samreboi and Dompim respectively should be a headache for the Elmina based team.

Elsewhere in Zone Three, Nania FC’s victory over Dreams caught lots of attention coming to many as astonishing, since Dreams FC had not lost a game at home prior to that encounter and more importantly Nania’s current circumstances (lying in relegation zone). With five matches to end the season, Dreams FC’s matches to be played away demands further concentration and analysis. Matches against Prestige FC, Kotoku Royals and Okwahu United could prove difficult for their first taste of Premier League because of the positions of the abovementioned clubs. Also, Dreams FC have a tricky fixture against Pure Joy at Kweiman. Kotoku Royals, battling relegation could make the kitchen hot for Second Placed King Solomon this weekend, and that could to a large extent stifle the targets of King Solomon.

Techiman City, Mysterious Dwarfs and Dreams FC could find their way out from the various zones but the cutthroat chase given by Real Tamale United, Elmina Sharks and King Solomon could change the list for the 3 Zones.

Pundits Corner Ghana Premier league : Week 26 Predictions from Derek Dapaah

New Edubiase vrs Inter-Allies
Allies will be happy with their current position now because it wasn't part of their season's plans.their victory at home against heart of Lions at home was eeogh, I think they will be going down or must stand tall to pick a point(s) against Edubiase. Edubiase will be working hard to avoid relegation and this match will surely end with goal(s). I tip Edubiase to beat Allies despite not having a relativwly good performance in this season's league. Edubiase must must di all the can to pick the maximum points against Inter Allies in Obuasi.A win will be a massive boost for them. With Allies losng a game in their last five(5) matches, Edubiase has a real game on Wednesday. Allies have nothing to lose in this game. Edubiase to beat them by a goal to nil.

Dapaah predicts: New Edubiase 1:0 Inter-Allies

Form guide: New Edubiase: LWDWL: 12th position
Inter-Allies: WWWLW: 4th position

Medeama SC vrs WAFA
Medeama knows that they ain't too safe to maintain in the league so they need a point or more to shield themselves from falling to the red zone(relegation). WAFA can do something but certainingly not in this fixture and I think they might even lose a lot of points in their remaining fixtures at home. With both clubs to be found in the 1st-10th position, they will be looking forward to maintain that and I see Medeama going at it against WAFA.

Dapaah predicts: Medeama SC 2:0 WAFA

Form guide: Medeama SC: DDWLD- 9th position
WAFA: WLWLD- 6th position

Aduana Stars vrs Hasaacas
With Aduana knowing that Ashgold can lose their game against Bechem. They will do everything to pick the three (3) maximum points to lead the log or have the same points with Ashgold, if Ashgold loses. Hasaacas needs to fight for a point and nothing else or they will fall again from their position. I hope it ends in a draw to reduce the pressure on Ashgold but it's impossible for me and Hasaacas. I go for a narrow win for Aduana but Hasaacas can give me what I seeked for, draw.

Dapaah predicts: Aduana Stars 1:0 Hasaacas

Form guide: Aduana Stars: LWLWW- 2nd position
Hasaacas: WDLWD- 7th position

Heart of Lions vrs BA United
Lions need this point more than B A to survive for premier league football next season. I know BA will be playing for playing sake and won't be giving Lions tough times. With BA relegated, any club that plays BA will win and won't think of drawing so Hearts of Lions will start the journey for others to follow. I urge Lions to move from that position to a place that will help them to stay in the league.

Dapaah peedicts: Heart of Lions 2:0 B A United

Form guide: Heart of Lion: LWLWL- 13th position
BA United: DLDLL-16th position

Kotoko vrs Wa All Stars
A moral booster came last weekend when they beat Hearts at the Accra Sports Stadium. Kotoko will do everything to beat Wa All Stars come wednesday. All Stars are also safe because they won't lose all their remaining matches, but they will surely go down in this fixture, unless they cause upsets if they run through the entire game. Kotoko has just won two (2) games in their last five (5) and will be hoping to make it three (3). I tip them to win this.

Dapaah predicts: Kotoko 2:1 Wa All Stars

Form guide: Kotoko: DLLWW- 8th position
Wa All Stars: DDWLW- 5th position

Liberty vrs Hearts of Oak
Will Liberty add more salts to Hearts injuries? Its been one of the worse seasons ever for the Phobian club (only a victory in their last 5 matches). Now, smaller fixtures will be tough games for Hearts because of their poor league form. But Liberty will worry them well with them playing at home too. Hearts were supposed to win the fixture before this but gave up and committed a lot of mistakes. They need not to repeat this mistakes against Liberty or else their destiny will be in other clubs. I tip them to grab something, whether win or draw but will prefer win. Liberty will hold them well because, if they also loses; something might happen to were they are lying.

Dapaah predicts: Liberty 1:1 Hearts of Oak

Form guide: Liberty: LDLWL- 10th position
Hearts of Oak: LLWLL- 15th position

Great Olympics vrs Berekum Chelsea
Olympics need this point as well as their opponent. Olympics with a victory will lift them from the zone and also, Chelsea with a victory they close the gap and climb to 2nd place. Chelsea have had an impressive run in their last five (5) matches, despite drawing last weekend. I tip Olympics to beat Chelsea after picking a good result last week against Hasaacas.

Dapaah predicts: Great Olympics 1:0 Berekum Chelsea

Form guide: Great Olympics: LWDWD- 14th position
Berekum Chelsea: WWWLD- 3rd position

Bechem United vs AshantiGold
This match may likely see the end to the 26 week lead held by Ashantigold in the league, this is becuase the dynamics do not look good for Ashantigold with Aduana Stars playing at home, any slip by Ashantigold will see Aduana assuming the too spot, Bechem United are the league's 3rd best gome club having lost only one game, while Ashantigold remain the secind best travellers in the league, The analysis does not favor the miners in this game, yet it is possible for thethem to pick a point from this fixture.

Dapaah predicts Bechem United 2-2 Ashantigold

Form guide: Bechem United: WLLWD- 11th position
Ashanti Gold: WLDLW- 1st potsition

Pundits Corner: Derek Dapaah Predicts week 25 Ghana Premier League

We enter a very critical moment of the first Capital Plus Premier League with team jostling for positions both on the top and down of the league log, this week we have a regional derby, and he super clash match. Accra Hearts of Oak take on rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko, while B A United welcome Aduana Stars, Once more yours truly Derek Dapaah makes his prediction ahead of the matches

Ashantigold vs Liberty

Ashgold must do everything to win this encounter. What is coach Bash doing? From eleven (11) points to two (2) points gap,  very abysmal. Ashgold must beat Liberty 3-4 goals to make a mark to win the league. Liberty are lying at their usual place when every season ends so if they lose it's nothing because no relegation hunt. I urge Ashgold to beat Liberty any how to maintain or extend the lead if Chelsea loses. Open free gate, let the fans rally behind the clubs or let the stadium be filled with the yellow and black colors to create tension and fear to their opponent (Liberty) so that they fall to their feet in the game. Obuasi football fans should troop to the stadium to support their traditional club to get a trophy for them.
 Dapaah predicts: Ashgold 2:0 Liberty
Form guide: Ashgold: LWLDL- 1st position
Liberty: LLDLW- 8th position

Berekum Chelsea vrs Medeama

Can they top the league come this weekend? A big "NO" and they should forget it. Chelsea to draw with Medeama this weekend. With Chelsea risking everything to top the league, Medeama will be doing so to avoid the relegation virus because where they are lying means they can be captured by the relegation virus. It will be a nice game with Chelsea losing only a fixture in their last five (5) games, Medeama has only won a match in their last five (5) games drawing two (2) and losing the rest (2) which is awful. This season have been Medeama's bad season but to avoid relegation and get things well next season. With both clubs in need of the points and Chelsea having the better off in this fixture despite a nice league form, I will go for a point split.
Dapaah predicts: Berekum Chelsea 1:1 Medeama SC
Form guide: Berekum Chelsea: DWWWL- 2nd
Medeama SC: LDDWL- 9th position

WAFA vrs Bechem United

WAFA surely knows that a defeat will send them back out of the top 4 and it won't be nothing to them but it will be a great achievement if the finish in the top 4. Will Bechem blame someone if they go back to Division 1? Surely, yes. They started the campaign well on a brighter note but all of a sudden they have fallen short of the joy they had in the second round. I feel very sad for them because they are the next counterpart to
follow BA United if they lose this game and I will tell you the next club to follow them. WAFA will beat Bechem. I told you that WAFA will surely lose point(s) when playing away but not at SOGAKOPE. any team will get it if the team goes there.
Dapaah predicts: WAFA 2:0 Bechem United
Form guide: WAFA: LWLWL- 4th position
Bechem United: LWLLW- 12th position

Wa All Stars vrs New Edubiase

I think Edubiase already knows that, they will be losing this fixture that was why they beat Hearts of Oak last week but another defeat they will be going back to the relegation zone. Wa All Stars has nothing, I mean nothing in this fixture or league because they are safe despite any club can go to relegation, at 6th position you can't fall to 13th. I urge them to beat Edubiase to excel at where they are lying at the moment. I know Edubiase stand tall on this encounter with them losing only a game in their last five (5) fixture whiles Wa All Stars have only won a game in their last five (5) games so it's opposite forms. I will go for a win for Wa All Stars in this encounter
Dapaah predicts: Wa All Stars 2:1 New Edubiase
Form guide: Wa All Stars: LDDWL- 6th position
New Edubiase: WLWDW- 10th position

Inter-Allies vrs Heart of Lions

Lions to remain at the 13th position or to the 14th position because the fact is there, they will be surely be beaten at Tema. Allies have only lost a game in this second round and they are my BEST club in the second round. Their defeat came in hands of the Dormaa boys, Aduana far away in Dormaa so it is no news but just that they recorded their first defeat. Lions knows that their form in the second round have been shambolic so what they have to do in the remaining fixture is that; pick a point away and win at home but it's not going to happen this weekend against a well-organized club, Allies who haven't lost a game at home in the second round. Allies to beat Lions.
Dapaah predicts: Inter-Allies 1:0 Heart of Lions
Form guide: Inter-Allies: WWWWL- 5th position
Heart of Lions: DLWLW- 13th position

BA United vrs Aduana Stars
Add caption

BA could use Aduana's away form to beat them and grab a first victory for a long time. Aduana knows that they themselves haven't been good at away and will also be looking forward to make this fixture one of the surviving away win because BA are already relegated. They can use this fixture to revive something at their side. I will tell them to win this just to make their fans happy because Aduana are awful club when playing away. They are only good when playing at Dormaa only. I urge them to win this by a lone goal, but Aduana Stars could also win from away in a long time
Dapaah predicts: BA United 0:1 Aduana Stars
Form guide: BA United: DDLDL- 16th position
Aduana Stars: WLWLW- 3rd position

Hasaacas vrs Olympics

With Olympics just losing one (1) game in their last five (5) matches same as Hasaacas, we will have a game to watch at Sekondi. Hasaacas will surely stand to beat Olympics this Sunday to get into the top four (4) whiles Olympics will be trying to avoid relegation because where they are now on the league log. Olympics to give everything out for this game. Hasaacas must soak in the pressure coming and counter them rather but if they open up, it will cause a cricket score line this weekend in this fixture. I see Hasaacas beating them no matter what happens.
Dapaah predicts: Hasaacas 2:1 Olympics
Form guide: Hasaacas: WWDLW- 7th position
Olympics: WLWDW- 16th position

Accra Hearts of Oak vrs Kumasi Asante Kotoko

Ghana's version of the El-Clasico. With Hearts winning only a fixture in their last five (5) fixtures, I urge them to do something in this game. If Hearts loses, they remain in the relegation zone or if they win they are out of the zone but not fully and  if their opponent loses they drop to the zone area or if they win, enters into the top 10. We really have a game to watch this weekend. Kumasi fans, Accra fans get your money and let's move to the stadium to watch this nice encounter. I urge Hearts to beat Kotoko but will be happy if it ends in a draw.
Dapaah predicts: Hearts of Oak 2:1 Kotoko
Form guide: Hearts of Oak: DLLWL- 14th position
Kumasi Asante Kotoko: WDLLW- 11th position
